Sri Lanka's 7th presidential election which commenced at 7am this morning concluded at 4pm. According to the Election Secretariat the election was held in a free and fair manner. Counting of postal votes has commenced and. the ballot boxes are now being dispatched to relevant counting centers.
Voting took place in 12,314 polling centers countrywide and 15,044,490 people were eligible to vote at today’s election.
Fifteen million forty thousand four hundred and ninety individuals have been deemed eligible to vote.
